In Blender I modeled a very lose and probably not anatomical (spelling?) lizard mesh and laid the bones in where I thought they should go then set the mesh as parent material with automatic weights, but what shall I do next? Was I doing things in the right order (modeling-->rigging-->animate-->texture)? And how do you take pictures of your work in Blender and post it places? I know I have a bunch of questions but please give me any advice you'd think would help! ;D p.s is this the right place for my thread?

I don't really know anything about blender but I can answer your "take a picture" question. With your work open, press "Print Screen" on your keybored. Then go to a program like paint and "past". You should have a picture of your object. Then save.
If you have a laptop, you may have to press Fn and print screen at the same time.
