First of, you may want to know who am I? Well, I'm just a pure white husky, many mistake me as a wolf, because I do not have any Husky markings, accept a pure white coat, that is as white as snow. I always wonder around in the wild, hoping some day I will finally see it, the beauty, the wild animal, the wolf. From many I heard, that wolves are killers, killing all the animals in farm or other pet shelters. That they are useless and not friendly creatures, but is that all I heard true? Are wolves really that bad? No, I think the different way. I always thought wolves just kill to survive, and try to hide from the rough weather. And maybe kill because they can feed their pups. All I heard was not true, and I know because this happened to me...
Sheera's Story Begins.
Chapter 1
I was born in Alaska, in a freezing and endless cold, but even that couldn't make me sad. I loved snow, I always played in it, but not for too long. My mom, Akur, the Black husky, she had her markings, and always thought I was special, because of my coat. She didn't want me to be in danger, and when the sun was in the highest point in the sky, she always barked so I came home. I came home, slightly sad, looking back at the snow. "Sheera, you know it's cold outside, you can get sick!" My mom barked at me again, but I knew she does that because she loves me, and doesn't want to loose me. "I know mom, but I don't feel cold. My coat keeps me warm, so why can't I play longer?" I whined, pawing my moms leg. "Oh, Sheera. You will understand soon, why I am so worried." She smiled at me, and licked my head. "Now you have to rest, I bet all this running in snow made you tired." I looked at her, opening my jaw wide, and yawned. "Yes, mom... I'm really tired." I jumped in her paws, and curling like a little snow ball, I closed my eyes and slept, with a wonderful dream. My mom nuzzled my tiny head, and slept with me, putting her head near her paws. The next few hours after a warm nap, I got up and stretched my paws. I looked at my mom, she was still sleeping, with a smile on her face. I looked at the door, I saw it open. "Oh! Look the door is open!" I barked happily, but looked at my mom, I knew she would be worried if I sneak away, but that was my chance. "Sorry, mom. I'll be back soon." I whispered in her ear, and nuzzled her head. My paws started to run, and took me outside in the white, cold snow. " There it is! The forest." I looked at the dark green trees, happily smiling. I started to run in the forest, looking at all beautiful snow, hanging on the branches. I sat on the snow and waited, and waited... I closed my eyes, but one moment after, something fell on me. "Ah! Who did that?" I screamed getting out of the snow, and looked up, seeing a branch with out a snow. "Oh, it was just snow..." I sighed, waiting again. Then I shivered, I heard something coming closer to me, and closer. My heart started to pound, fast and loud, I though my heart went in my throat. I got scared. "Mom! Help!" I shouted, and saw a shadow behind a tree, looking a lot like a dog, but it wasn't any dog... It was something different, that I could not understand what was it.
First Friend
Chapter 2
The shadow came closer, and closer to me. It had a low, long growl. I stopped breathing, my eyes were closed, and I felt a cold shiver going down my spine. I crouched down, tucking my head in between my legs, expecting something quick to grab me by the ribs. I heard that growl again, but then it suddenly stopped. The snow slowly crunched, and I opened my eyes and decided to face the creature I was terrified of. It looked at me with it's kind, yellow eyes. It had a grey fur, with white tones in between. It's expression was like a shocked little pup, with a frozen stare, and opened wide eyes. "W-who are you?" I mumbled in a very quite whisper. The creature perked he's ears forward. "I am... I am a wolf. How about you?" He asked me, full of curiosity. "I'm a Husky." I replied to he's question. "Really? You look allot like a wolf." He circled around me, narrowing he's eyes, to see if I was a Husky. As he saw my curled tail, he understood. "Yes, you're a Husky, but why such a White coat?" He raised he's tail, flipping he's detailed look to a surprised one. "Well... It's hard to explain." I said slowly. The wolf seemed quite friendly, even though it's look wasn't really. Awhile after, I looked over my shoulder, realizing it's been quite long time, since I left. "Look, I have to go now." I said, having a worried feeling inside me. "Oh, well. Will you come back tomorrow?" He dropped he's ears, and let out a small whine. "Yes, I will!" I shouted to him back, and started to run home. My mom was standing out the door, and howling out my name. An echo hit my ears, and I put on a sad face, but continued running. "Sheera! Where are you!" She cried out, awaiting my arrival. I came to the door, slowly coming to my mom. She had a frown on her face, I understood, that she was very mad at me. "Sheera, why did you run away? I was so worried. What if a wolf would kill you?" She was barking at me, and growling at the same time. I looked at her and said, what happened. "Wolves are not killers, mom..." I whispered, laying down in my moms paws. "Sheera, you won't go outside, until you learn how to take care of yourself. For now, you're too young to go in the forest." She breathed in deeply, and let out a heavy sigh. "Some day, you will learn." I looked at her, with tears dripping down my cheeks. I felt pain in my chest, like someone was stabbing me.
