The siloutte of a silver she-cat could be seen from underneath a willow tree. Rustling was heard from a bramble bush, "Ahh!" The she-cat pounced on top of the tom. "Silverstreak! What are you doing?" The tom scrambled out of her crushing body weight. Silverstreak ducked her head in embarrassment, "Sorry Firefang, I thought you were an intruder." "Well next time smell before you leap!" Firefang snapped. The silver cat shrank back. "Sorry..." "Im sorry as well, argueing is not the reason we came out here..." He then pawed over to where Silverstreak was sitting and sat next to her. Firefang placed his paw over hers, and intertwined his tail with hers. She glanced at him, "...I Love you, and....will always love you." Firefang noticed that she didnt seem quit certain. "...Whats wrong?" He asked. "Well, that just it. This relationship is all wrong... Im sorry but... If we love each other... then why do we have to sneak around and pretend we dont care about each other?" She glanced at Firefang. "Honey, you and I both know that we shouldnt be together, we are from different clans.... You from Thunderclan and me from Riverclan. Even though we shouldnt love each other, or truely know each other, I still love you..." Silverstreak nuzzled him. "I will forever love you."
Seedkit sat before Losteye."Tell me a story!" She begged. Losteye shuffled her paws. "Well, I may have one..." Losteye thought a bit.Then she closed her eyes and let out a deep breath. "Oh all right, I might have a story you may like." She smiled just a little bit. "Well, this story`s setting is in our very own clan, Thunderclan. Now, this story takes place just after Bramblestars death. And I know what your thinking, Who is Bramblestar? Well, even I barely remember the stories from the elders told from when I was a kit...
It was a cold Greenleaf day and the Thunderclan patrol had just set out. A scuffling of pawsteps was heard from inside the nursery."But Forestfall, I want to go outside with Crashkit!" The little kit sat at the end of his mothers tail. "Oh Fernkit, you know as well as I do that its too cold to go outside. Fernkit`s mother makes her own choices of letting her kit stay outside." She mewed placing her tail on his shoulder. Fernkit lifted up his head. "Aw mom I just wanted to play..."Fernkit muttered. "I heard that." Forestfall flicked her tail across his nose....
Meanwhile, at the Thunderclan patrol.
Ivystep padded threw the forest.At her side was Riverreed, and behind her was Treefall and Shadowfur. The soft crunch of decaying leaves was all that was heard as the Thunderclan patrol padded threw the forest. Ivystep padded around a clump of ferns. "Im tired of walking!" Shadowfur complained. The black tom had just become a warrior the night before, sitting quitely in his midnight vigil. "Oh stop complaining, we are almost done scanning the border."Treefall seemed to not of even heared Shadowfur. Shadowfur rolled his eyes, "This is mousebrained! I don`t understand why we need to patrol this border!" He hissed. "The other three clans don`t care to patrol their borders, they haven`t even shown their faces in moons! They don`t even show up to clan meetings anymore!" Shadowfur`s eyes flared. "The only thing ever see of them anymore is their medicine cats!" He glared at Treefall. "Hey hey!" Ivystep whipped around from her position at the front of the group. "You know as well as I do that Skystar ordered us not to speak of it. Only leaders must know of this knowledge." Ivystep barred her teeth at Shadowfur. "Speak no more of this nonsense!" She then flipped back around and stalked off as if nothing had happened. Shadowfur nudged Riverreed with his tail. "What happened to her?" He whispered to the brown tom. Riverreed leaned in closer to Shadowfur as they padded along the long used track of their ancesters. "Some say she fell off the side of the edge of the camp when she was just a kit."Riverreed mewed. "Thats were she got her always grumpy and know all mood. Oh but those are just stories, she is pretty old." Riverreed chuckled a bit. "Doesn`t she want to retire to an elder?" Shadowfur asked. "Oh no! She has never wanted to admit she is becoming too old for patrols." He just shrugged his shoulders. "Why don`t we stop speaking of this? We shouldn`t be talking about her." Riverreed walked forward and ahead of Shadowfur. Shadowfur huffed out an exasperated sigh. Riverreed is right. I shouldn`t be talking about this. Shadowfur thought. Then the black tom hurried to catch up to the others.
Shadowfur kept on running as he hurried to catch up to the flickering tails ahead...........When......... he heard a rustleing in the undergrowth not to far from where he was standing. He padded up to the noise, ready to pounce if it was a intruder. Instead Silverstreak`s head popped out. As soon as she got a glance of him her eyes widdened, "uuuum what are you doing here?" she asked. Shadowfur looked at her suspiciously, but as he was about to speak he was interrupted by a voice just over the hill.
"Hey Shadowfur! why are you taking so long? The prey won`t wait for you!" It was Riverreed. "Coming!" Shadowfur yelled into the distance. He glanced back to where Silverstreak had been, but she had vanished. Confused, he sprinted back to Riverreed`s side. Shadowfur leaned in a little bit into him. "I just saw Silverstreak padding from the undergrowth near the Riverclan border, whats that all about?" Riverreed took a glance at him. "Im sure she is just messing around, like old times. She has always been the adventurous one." As confident as he sounded, he look frightened that Shadowfur had asked. Now Shadowfur knew that the two were brother and sister, and if anyone could keep a secret for a long time without a single soul knowing, it would be them. Though Shadowfur trusted Riverreed, and they were best friends, he couldnt be too sure that he wasnt lying. And as the suns past he grew even more suspicious, for he saw Silverstreak for a second time near the same spot he had spotted her before. Shadowfut knew something was up, he could taste it. I am going to get to the bottom of this. He thought. And i will find out what is going on.
